Complications and Sequellae from a Dental Injury

Abstract

|
Dental injuries should always be considered as an emergency condition and be treated inmediately to relieve pain, facilitate reduction of displaced teeth, and improve the prognosis. Improving the prognosis, we need the rational diagnosis of dental injuries, based primarily on anatomical and therapeutic considerations. The .prevalence of dental injuries are increasing now due to many etiological factors.
The prognosis of dental injuries should be evaluated on function of speech and mastication. Esthetics is another important factor on evaluation of dental injury -prognosis.
The author classified dental injuries according to anatomical and therapeutic considerations and evaluated prognosis.
